It's late night, England and so it rains. Two girls are on their way to Eire. They choose the cheap way and took the bus. Long traffic jams make the bus go slower and slower and the time ticks away. Twenty fingers have lost their nails, lips are starting to bleed, and still the bus hasn't reached Victoria. "Sir, we have to connect, our bus leaves in twenty. Can you make it wait?" Of course it can't. Schedule is schedule.
At Victoria we stumble to the service desk. Our hiking gear doesn't really help here. The station is overcrowded. A guy drags us to the other end of the bus station and pushes us in a bus. "These gals are queen mums. Drive! Drop them at Manchester and make sure they make it for the bus to Eire." We get the best seats, and for the first time look into the rainy night. Ireland here we come. Queen mums with hiking boots...
